About SPS Graphene

Graphene is the strongest material in the world. Graphene reduces heat on the substrate, so that water spotting is much less likely, even compared to ceramic coatings, that actually retains the heat. Bird droppings come off with ease, without damaging the coating or substrate, unlike ceramic coatings. Those are two examples of what sets this product apart from any other product on the market.

Conventional Ceramic, Silica Oxides( SiO2) and Quartz coating are for water and air proofing on any surface. Mostly the selection of making these types of coatings are polysiloxane, silicon dioxide, or alkoysilane. However, the downfall is that the conventional ceramic, silica oxide and quartz coatings are prone to water spotting. The characteristic of these chemicals have good hydrophobic and/or hydrophilic properties. The watercontact angle is measured from 65 degrees to 108 degrees.

Why Graphene is engineered into SPS’s formula?

Graphene is said to be a miracle material due to an abundance of beneficial properties. Even in its simplest form, a thin one atom thick substance, it is the lightest, strongest, thinnest material known to man. Being a carbon-based material coupled with the presence of oxygen functionalities, graphene oxide can be easily dispersed in organic solvents, water and polymer matrixes. This compatibility as a filler with polymer coatings (in this case polydimenthysiloxane is crucial, as it allows coatings to benefit from its properties.

Graphene is nano particles size of 50um to 80um, due to the one atom characteristic that form a tensile durability when it is added to the base chemical. SPS Graphene have chosen two types of chemicals to blend this formula:

1.Silazane

2.Polydimenthylsiloxane

Added with these silane or 3-(Trimethoxysilyl)-propylamine to form hardness. Hardness can be controlled by adding the content weight in percentage. The study on Graphene mixing method was applied to prepare homogeneous graphene-based Polydimenthylsiloxane (PDMS).

Graphene/PDMS composite tensile with an accelerated viscosity gives a thickness in film or coating, giving a super slick and resistance for water dispersion. SPS Graphene also helps in thermal reduction on treated surface. This helps with corrosion to prevent clear coat tarnish and damage.

The Graphene coating serves the below function:

1.Water-spot prevention and reduction

2.Anti corrosion against winter road salt

3.Chemical resistance below PH 12

4.Flexibility

5.Hydrophobic
